Summary

Cycle Coach is an AI-powered cycling coaching app. Your health and fitness data stays on your device. We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal data.

Data That Stays on Your Device

The following data is read from Apple HealthKit and processed entirely on your iPhone:

• GPS route traces and workout locations
• Heart rate samples
• Workout history (distance, duration, calories)
• Resting heart rate, HRV, VO2 Max
• Sleep data

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server.

Data Sent to Our Server

To generate personalised coaching, the app sends a small summary of your recent training to our coaching service:

• Training load metrics (fitness, fatigue, form — computed values, not raw health data)
• Route names and ride statistics (distance, duration, average heart rate)
• Training personality classification
• Day of week and block position

This data is transmitted over HTTPS, authenticated, and not stored beyond the duration of the request. No GPS coordinates, raw heart rate samples, or personally identifiable information are sent.

Third-Party Services

• Apple HealthKit — read-only access to your health data, on-device only
• Apple WeatherKit — weather forecast based on your home location (coordinates are sent to Apple's weather service)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our coaching API (Lambda, eu-west-1 region). No personal data is stored.

Authentication

Cycle Coach uses Sign in with Apple. We receive only a unique, anonymous identifier — not your name or email address unless you choose to share them.

Data Retention

All coaching responses are cached on your device in local storage. If you delete the app, all local data is removed. We do not retain any user data on our servers.

Children

Cycle Coach is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

Since your data is stored only on your device, you have full control. You can:

• Delete the app to remove all local data
• Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings
• Export your data via the in-app backup feature
